Eleven paid holidays are authorized by the agency for regular, full time employees.
New Year’s Day – January 1
Martin Luther King’s Birthday- Third Monday in January
President’s Day – Third Monday in February
Memorial Day – Fourth Monday in May
Independence Day – July 4
Labor Day- First Monday in September
Thanksgiving Day – Fourth Thursday in November
Friday after Thanksgiving
Day after Christmas
Contractual Employees- are paid for holidays according to their employment contract.
Holidays on weekends – If an authorized holiday falls on Saturday, the holiday will be observed on the preceding Friday. IF the holiday falls on Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.
Part time employees - A regular, part time employee, who worked at least 24 hours or more per week, shall be paid holidays proportionate to the number of hours worked.
Temporary employees- Temporary, full time employees shall be paid those holidays which occur during their period of employment.
When an employee’s duties require that they work on a holiday(s), the employee will receive holiday pay in addition to the hours worked.
