Welcome to Central Kentucky Head Start! Participating in our program is a great way to begin your child’s educational journey. Serving children ages birth to five years old, Head Start is a nationally recognized program that provides quality, comprehensive education services to at-risk preschool age children. We believe all children deserve the best possible education. It’s why we are committed to delivering quality education that enables children to become school ready.
As an integral program within Central Kentucky Community Action Council (CKCAC), Head Start provides support services to students and their families that promote self-sufficiency and help eliminate poverty. Our focus on academics, as well as health and wellness, creates an environment that encourages personal betterment for the entire family.
Our centers are located throughout Central Kentucky in the communities of Hardin, Larue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties. Each center offers tailored services and resources to meet the needs of the children and families we serve.
